Infection Control Policy

Infection control is very important to us.Rest assured that our office practices universal precautions to protect everyone from the possibility of disease transmission. We abide by the following infection control practices, which include, but are not limited to, those required by law:

  • Gloves are changed and hands washed after each patient.
  • Protective barriers to cover hard to clean surfaces are used.
  • Heat stable instruments that are non-disposable are heat and pressure sterilized after treatment of each patient.
  • If instruments can not be heat sterilized, disposable instruments will be used and discarded in a proper manner.
  • Precautions are taken to prevent injuries caused by needles, and other contaminated sharp instruments during procedures.
  • All uncovered surfaces and equipment are cleaned and disinfected after treatment of each patient.
  • Infectious waste is placed in special containers and are disposed of by special waste haulers.
  • All staff receive training on infection control.
